Youth / Community Projects

"I can remember first singing on stage at age 3 in church. Much of my youth was spent in a small town in the Ozarks raised by my grandparents who saw that music was a positive outlet. They managed to finance a clarinet for me to join band, and from 5th grade to senior year, I was in marching band and concert orchestra. I sang in school chorus and competed in vocal competitions.  While in school, at age 14 I started traveling with more professional groups - and by the age of 16, thanks to mentors who saw something in me, I sat behind my first sound board.

I was fortunate to receive scholarships to attend Missouri State University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management - while traveling every weekend either on tour busses or with a sound crew. My love of music turned into an opportunity to develop a career.

Music and mentors were there for me at times when life wasn't easy. It was an outlet that offered hope and something to focus on. The arts positively shaped my life. I have been honored to be mentored by some amazing people and now it is my time to give back.

I believe every child is born with a talent - and everyone has a calling to love and care for one another. If you can find a way to use whatever talent that is to fulfill that calling, you will have favor in your work." ~ Sheri
